Best time for the Uganda boat cruise safari?

Large cruise boat

Boat trips are typically taken when the water levels are ideal in the year-round. However, the recommended season is during the dry season, which runs from June to mid-October, November to February.

During this time, water levels are optimal, and most animals gather around water sources as they seek hydration. This provides excellent opportunities to view wildlife from your cruise vehicle.

Travelers need to wear a life jacket on the boat rides, regardless of who experienced a swimmer they are. For safety reasons, tour operators should provide life jackets for all passengers.

You can also carry your binoculars for ideal close-ups of birds, crocodiles and hippos among others. Bring a hat for sun protection, some drinking water and your camera for incredible photos of wildlife along the shoreline.

These activities are planned and organized by the Batwa and other locals through the Batwa Development Program (BDP). It is supported by the international conservation aid-based non-profit organization.
